    LaNola Stone’s concept was to make “fashionesque images” of the longest in residence at the dog pound near her home (some dogs had been there over six months). She specifically asked for the dogs that were the “least likely to be adopted” and took their portraits to represent them with personality, youth and “edge” in order to aid their adoption. All the dogs included in the series were adopted.

    For me, Sir Maverick is one of the stallions that epitomizes what a Gypsy Vanner should be.

    He stands 15.1hh and has a very traditional body type: strong bones, long and thick mane and tail, good feathers.  Sir Maverick is registered in two books: Rheinland and Westfalia.  He has won numerous awards in the Irish Cob Society, including silver medal and Foalshow Vize Champion Stallion. Born in Germany on October 15, 2002, his Sire is Simon of Sunshine, grandsire of Sligo.  His dam was Sally, and his grandmother was Kanktukes Jessy, mother Sally.
